The day had been rain and wind with nothing but gray skies, I was lucky enough to be on holiday a few miles away and had this location in mind at some point.

With the slightest gap on the horizon I just knew there was a chance of the light getting through and painting the land, so I raced to the location, literally run up the hill as fast as I could before collapsing in a heap at the top, trying to get my breath back!

Just as I got set up, the light burst through the letterbox opening out in the atlantic, painting the land with its golden rays and lighting up all the stormy drama out at sea!

I was very happy that my first ever visit to this location resulted in such a moody atmospheric image and has a story to make it even more memorable!
